Configure Output Screen: Digital

The APM Display allows you to configure outputs as either digital or analogue, depending on your application needs. Digital outputs are best for simple on/off signaling such as alarms or relays, while analogue outputs provide proportional data for monitoring and control systems. View the analog output instructions here.

Digital Output

Key Specs
Output Type: Open Collector Transistor (NPN)
Maximum Current: 500mA (supports loads up to 12W)
Maximum Voltage: 24VDC
Configuration: Can be set to Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC

Using the APM Link

  • This option is to be used when using the APM-Gateway for connection to the Trumeter Cloud.
  • The APM Gateway is the remote monitoring solution tailored specifically for APMs.
  • Use the APM Link for seamless integration and secure connectivity to Trumeter devices.

Wiring Notes

The APM SP1, and SP2 are NPN outputs:

  • Use a 12-24VDC external relay and wire the plus connection directly to the relay.
  • The (-) of PSU (12-24VDC only) needs to go to the common terminal.
  • This signal (ground) will come out on SP1 or SP2 to turn on the external relay

Collector Output:

  • The external relay or buzzer needs to be rated for 500mA current draw.
